Drops mails without warning

Yahoo mail has always been great

While ive been using yahoo for many many years, the new features aren’t working, I delete emails and when i go back they are still there. And all the spam is going into my inbox making it annoying with all the notifications. I love yahoo but please fix these issues.

Something changed and it’s very difficult to navigate

Taking up too much space on my device. Can’t clear cache and cookies from either the app or the device settings. Prefer the older, simpler version.

Been with yahoo since forever, liked it then like it now, really like their new security that they put in place, much safer, time will tell though, these hackers never give up, wonder if they make as much as they could running the big boys security systems, all things considered, feel safe with yahoo mail.

This email is easy for a 77 year old to use it

This was a good email app, but recently clicking on an email notification only takes you to the mailbox, rather than the email itself. This is a huge inconvenience and I’m starting to look at other application options if this is not fixed soon

I actually prefer Yahoo Mail over Apple Mail and Gmail in terms of layout and ease of use. It’s cleaner, more intuitive, and overall just feels better to use. That said, there’s one major flaw that drives me insane: there’s no way to paste plain text. Anytime I copy from another app—whether it’s from Notes, or a browser—it brings all the formatting with it. Even Apple Notes pastes in weird formatting like yellow backgrounds. This completely screws up any attempt to make a clean, professional-looking email using copy-pasted content from different sources. A simple “paste as plain text” option would solve it. Until then, it’s a beautiful app with a frustratingly broken core function.

Yahoo have “updated” their email to make it ever so much easier for you to NOT SEE important emails such as your bills. They have decided to go with the old “even though you can’t possibly know if you received an email, the only way to find and read it is to search your inbox for it” game. They did this a few years ago too, it makes life so much easier when you don’t know that you have bills that you didn’t pay!!! Supposedly all the messages show up if you’re in the “All” tab at the top, but that’s just not true. I have to search to find emails, then I flag them, after flagging I go back to “All” and they still don’t show up. Since I have proven on a daily basis that the “update” is flawed and doesn’t work, I personally would like Yahoo to remove my “update” so that I can once again have access to all of my emails. Despite what Yahoo thinks, you can’t search for things that you don’t know exist, so making us search for missing emails we have never seen is as stupid of an idea as I have ever heard. I’m not young, and I have heard some really stupid ideas before, but this takes the biscuit. You have no idea who it’s from, or if it exists, but if you want to read it you need to search for it. Go search for your million dollars gift card Yahoo, I’m sure someone sent it. Could Yahoo have possibly raised their middle finger any higher? No they could not, they have flipped us all the bird. If possible: use a different email server and close your Yahoo account so they can’t make money selling ads or by selling your personal data, and delete the app. Remember that as long as the app is on your device it is scraping your personal data, doesn’t matter if you haven’t used it for a while. Also this “update” was created by AI. Don’t believe people who say AI will make your life easier, it will make most people’s lives more difficult by coming up with marvelous solutions like “don’t let people read their email unless they search for it without knowing what it is.” Only a very few people will benefit from AI, but by then it will be able to do those people’s jobs, so even the people who find it helpful will lose out in the long run.

Reliable

This “Catch Up” feature is annoying!! It comes up even when I DON’T have unread mail! I’m usually on top of my email as they come in, so it doesn’t take much to see what I might have missed.

There needs to be a way to shut off AI, there is no need for it in my emails.

I’ve had yahoo mail for years. I love the ease and simplicity of it. I won’t change it for another mail app.

Great healing hands

Can’t turn off notifications in app. Forced reset of settings regularly. Constant notifications, even with them turned off in app. Worst possible email app nowadays. Impossible to turn off notifications no matter what these idiots say. They don’t have a clue how broken their garbage app is.

I've never had an issue with the app except lately. As I scroll down my inbox, I see the same emails being duplicated and sometimes the emails are blank except for the title. Please look into and fix!

With a recent update, you advertised the catch up feature. Seems good, went through and sorted a whole bunch of emails I’ve been meaning to get to. Then I go to my inbox and they’re all still there after deleting them. Not a very reassuring rollout. I guess I’m reassured that I should keep using this email address for junk mail.

This website is constantly updating making new innovations available at no cost! Also you can change themes and add personalization.

Change the themes back! Or add better options. Spamming important emails! Making me lose out of funds!

Cluttered. Difficult to find and review emails. Have to upgrade to yahoo + to block spam and fraudulent domains, and to get rid of the harassing ads.

Where is the option to enlarge/bolden the email font?

Move the delete and spam button to the top make it where you can move around different items

Had Yahoo mail for over 30 years

Totally ruined years of yahoo mail usage- we should have continued to have a choice! I stuck by yahoo even with a spam of user info but I detest being forced into the new version which is NOT user friendly.

You are constantly interfering with my access to MY email with confusing demands for your new password rules. STOP IT! I’m seriously considering a different email provider after 20 years!!!

When I send a new email and want to change the text font or size the options do not show correctly on the page. Also if I copy and paste from a different app and add to the yahoo mail, the font doesn’t match correctly. Also adding attachments to the email is not intuitive. If they fix these, I rate the app 5 stars.

Prior version much easier to use, haven’t found a way to revert back.

No problem putting ads, but the manner in which they are interrupts the demarcation between days. Also, the platform is not very bright.

This new inbox format is terrible and I am about to delete my Yahoo mail account altogether. Every time I open it defaults to “Primary” (whatever that is) and I have to click on “All” to actually see my true inbox. And creating an inbox just for “Offers” is ridiculous. Yahoo’s crass monetization has crossed a line into absurdity and has become so needlessly complicated that is no longer worth using.

I got this just to register for a video game. My kid wanted to play… I registered and then it said I couldn’t use it because the email had already been used… but it is because it sent the registration to a spam mailbox that was not viewable through the application what a headache that was never again I can’t stand technology anymore

Yahoo assign my email to a lot of scammers and online add I have done everything and couldn’t stop them emails keeps coming every at least 20 I don’t recommend yahoo gmail is the best
